I write this out of sheer frustration and joy!
A paradox, n’est-ce pas?
Frustration over a client that that has paralysis of analysis – he continues to look at options and discussing options with every one he meets. And his business remains static. He misses great opportunities because he is seeking the ‘right’ opportunity.
Joy, because I just read the book “The Paradox of Choice – Why More is Less” and finally figured out, I hope, the mechanism behind his actions and more importantly, I think I have the seeds for developing a series of questions that will bring him to the light so that he understands his behavior. And then I can introduce the things that can help him move forward.
There, just thought I would share and then see if anyone else has been successful with this type of ordeal? This is one of those times that proves to me that money isn’t a primary motivator. For me, the win is successfully getting him focused and on track. Or I’ll have to fire him. Dangit!

Oh dear; this has been precisely my dilemma.
You see, I have such a broad skill set, consequently I do too much myself. Added to that, I have not previously considered dropping off some of my business activities/clients that are not in keeping with the direction I want to go.
The result has very literally been paralysis.
In the last forty eight hours I decided drop off some stuff and become laser sharp in my focus
Great reminder; great blog.
Thank you, Catherine, for the comments and visiting my blog.
