Is This You?
Is This Your Organization?

  • No one is listening!   We have meetings and we talk and we write memos yet people still don't seem to communicate.  We never seem to get things done or agree on how to get it done. I would rather take a beating than go to another meeting.
  • We have people in positions they shouldn't be in.  They don't seem to be motivated.  We don't know how to motivate them.  They are costing us time and energy and that is reflected in morale.  And that is reflected in productivity.  If we have to replace someone or create a new position, how do we know we're going to get the right person for the job next time?
  • We are losing people with valuable technical skills and knowledge.  We promote people up and then push them out.  They were great where they were, why aren't they good where they are?   For some reason, they just don't get the management side of the business.  That costs us a ton of money.  Does your organization promote people up then push them out?  Are you losing clients because you are losing employees?
  • No one seems to know where we are headed.  They tell us to keep the goal in sight, but we're not even sure what the goal is.  Sometimes I feel like their goal is not our goal.
  • "These are the numbers we have to make." That's good to know, but what we don't know is where those numbers come from and what kind of support we will get to acieve them.
  • We can't pay these people any more than we already are!  We keep throwing money at people and still not getting the desired results!  Surely there is more to life than money!  Yes, there is, but it is not always easy to determine what motivates an individual.  Often they don't really know themselves.  Both of you are stressed and resentful.  Taking the time to find their hot buttons is crucial for their health and that of the companies.
  • Are you managing numbers or people?  Numbers are really only indicators of people and their productivity, and by extension their managers.  People don't work for companies, they work for people.  Managers and leaders don't manage or lead numbers, they manage and lead people.

If you said "Yes" to any of the above or have a similar situation, let's talk about it.  Let's take a look at what the problem really might be.    If you are the leader, the owner, the decision maker then you will want to know the outcomes you can expect when working with Maverick Business Advisors.
